WHAT WE DO
Jaime Byrd Images produces royalty-free content for image and video libraries (such as Getty Images). We shoot video with a mix of commercial fashion and lifestyle images as well as the travel adventure or cityscapes around the globe.
We are always looking for models, make-up artists, production designers, and unique performers to work with. If that sounds like you, then have a look at our info pages below and contact us!
Jaime Byrd and Adam Cohen are a married couple who have been working together in filmmaking for over a decade. They spend their lives “slow” traveling from country to country capturing licensed content for Stock libraries. (To view some of this content, see the video above).
A lot of their success as a couple comes from the fact that they’re an effective creative team. Jaime handles equipment and shooting, Adam handles production and shooting logistics. Jaime works with editing and ideas for actors, while Adam works on paperwork and key-wording. But they collaborate together greatly during a shoot. “Adam is really good at coming up with new ideas and concepts while on a shoot,” says Jaime, “making it a lot easier for me to concentrate on camera work, lighting, and working with actors. We are always working together with the goal of getting the best shot possible”.
As an Emmy nominated filmmaker, emotions and real life are often the focus of Jaime’s storytelling. She uses light, color, motion, focus, and composition to capture a specific feeling that often translates into a documentary style reality.
If you are interested in working with us, please send us a few photos or a link to your web page and we promise to have a look at your portfolio as soon as we can. Remember, it’s important for us to see at least one photograph of you smiling!
Often (but not always), we want to be filming models doing ordinary daily things, like making breakfast, drinking coffee, having fun with friends, etc. But we are also interested in creating and arranging unique and artistic shoots the involve costumes, make up, and art design.
Most importantly, we want models that take direction well, can smile easily, have fun, and enjoy the process.
What is Stock Videography?
From Wikipedia: “Stock videography is the supply of video clips licensed for specific uses. It is used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a videographer, often for a much lower cost. Today, stock images can be presented in searchable online databases. They can be purchased and delivered online. Often, these clips involve people, and are produced in studios using a wide variety of models posing as professionals, stereotypes, expressing common emotions and gesticulations, or involving pets. Other common stock photography niches include images related to travel and tourism, as well as conceptual photography.”
Why do models need to sign a Model Release?
A model release is a legal document that gives Jaime Byrd permission to use a model’s likeness to create and sell content covered by the release. It makes clear that the model will not be further compensated beyond what is agreed on at the time of the shoot.
Model releases help protect the model, Jaime Byrd Images, our agencies, and the end user alike. With the proper paperwork, everyone knows what to expect from each other, and should any disagreements arise later on, this document can be the deciding factor.
Where will the photographs or video be used?
We work with stock agencies who are looking for affordable high quality stock footage content – which we produce. Once we create our footage, clips are available to license and use worldwide by many different production companies. Our content is often featured in commercials, television programing, commercial films, motion pictures, documentaries, music videos, and other video content around the globe. Worldwide, there’s a large demand for affordable stock footage. We rely on having a large portfolio to generate a moderate amount of income. Our videos are high quality and some of the world‘s best, making us an important creative contributor to Stock Agencies.

INFORMATION FOR LOCATION OWNERS
We work at capturing clean, fresh, and inspiring images of non-specific and general spaces and we will in no way be featuring any logos or branding of your property.
We work closely with the owner (or manager of the property) to assure safety and the lowest impact possible. We usually prefer to plan a shoot while your location is closed, therefore not interrupting any actual business flow. We are conscientious, trustworthy, and do our very best to return things to the way in which we found them.
