Portugal was great on so many levels – one of them was exploring and examining the art, architecture, people, and their dogs and being inspired by them all… one day I started sketching some ideas of little people after encountering and being inspired by some artwork from a Portuguese artist. This is my first attempt at creating a series of people and their dogs from around the world.

About my paintings:
I use layers of oil paint and cold wax along with other materials like sand, leaves, paper, oil sticks, oil pastels, charcoal, pencils, and other mark-making and texture tools. These items can help to create texture, light, and depth into my paintings.
